Humanities House - Four Arrows

August 31st, the Humanities House Learning Community took a bus down to UCONN’s depot campus for their annual house bonding at Four Arrows. There, students participated in a series of games and challenges to foster better communication and understanding one another. The goal of the trip is to engage students in their community early on, resulting in more enthusiastic participation in future Humanities House events, such as their monthly movie nights and trips to various museums. From games of blindfolded dodgeball, to the completion of various rope courses in the woods, the Humanities House members arrived back to their dorms feeling more connected and comfortable with their fellow floormates than when they left, departing from the bus in large groups for dinner together. This again reaffirmed the open growth mindset displayed in Humanities House students, and gave our house a great beginning to another fantastic school year.
