ABOUT
Us!

Humanities House is a UConn Learning Community, one of 18 academic-residential partnerships on the Storrs campus. A key part of the UCONN academic plan, Learning Communities bring together first and second year students with shared intellectual interests. More than 40% of the incoming class join a learning community, and many return for sophomore year. Learning Communities have a faculty director, associate directors (often Ph.D. students), a dedicated residential assistant and hall director. They offer credit-earning courses and extra-curricular programming.

Humanities House comprises, at present, 30 freshman and 12 sophomores. The students reside in Watson Hall, the group classroom and lounge is in the Ryan annex to the residence hall. Humanities House takes students from the initial experience of college to the midpoint of the undergraduate career.
